Can I exercise while pregnant and what are the benefits?


Playing sports when you are pregnant is even recommended ! Gentle and regular sporting activity improves your metabolism while allowing you to keep your spirits up and relieve your daily worries !

Is it dangerous for the baby?


It is important to talk to your gynecologist before starting, as each pregnancy is unique and requires special attention. There may be contraindications to practicing sports when you are pregnant in very specific cases. : opening of the cervix, high blood pressure, etc. In addition, it is often advisable towait until the 3rd month of pregnancy to start or resume a sporting activity.  

Practicing a sporting activity during pregnancy can also help you, for example, with yoga, you will learn to breathe properly which will help you open your rib cage to free up space for your baby.

At what pace should you train?


It all depends on your usual pace, whether you were a great athlete or not. The main thing is tobe regular, you can do one session or two sessions per week but of course, without forcing too much!

Aquabiking, the perfect sport during pregnancy!

Aquabiking is particularly effective for erasing orange peel skin, combating heavy legs and burning off as many calories as possible while taking care of your baby.

At Aqua by, aquabiking is practiced in small groups, on a bike immersed in a pool. The fact of being submerged up to the waist allows you, thanks to the principle of gravity of water, to perform more movements than in the open air. Our coaches, professionals and specially trained for this activity, guide you throughout the session. Indeed, the cardio training phase is less intensive and the exercises are adapted (no abs, shorter cardio sessions, etc.). All aquabiking sessions are open to pregnant women and our studios are open all week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What other sports can I practice?


The key word: avoid violent sports which could lead to falls and blows. THE water sports are particularly recommended, once immersed in water, our body only represents a third of its weight, which facilitates all movements.

Here are some sports that we recommend:
- there swimming to work your entire body gently,
L'water aerobics to work the arms, the back, and promote relaxation,
- there walk to strengthen your glutes and thighs,
- THE yoga to learn to breathe better and strengthen your perineum.
