Aquabiking? What is this ?
Aquabiking is a gentle, complete sport accessible to as many people as possible. This physical and sporting activity consists of pedaling in the water on a bike without wheels. Aquabiking is the ideal sport for those who want to quickly tone their body, strengthen their leg muscles and soften their joints, without damaging them!
Immersed in water up to the waist, once on the aquabike, everyone pedals at their own pace. Aquabiking is done on an aquabike but there are different practices:
1 – In an individual cabin with a screen indicating the exercises to be performed.
2 – In a swimming pool specially designed for the practice of this sport, like at Aqua by. The aquabiking sessions are then supervised by a coach and are done to music.

The advantages of aquabike
Aquabiking allows you to refine your silhouette, eliminate cellulite, strengthen your legs and shape your glutes. But that's not all! The resistance of the water acts like a draining massage on the body. This promotes good blood circulation, in addition to fighting against water retention. In the water, we only carry 30% of our body mass, which has the effect of limiting the risk of injury and shock. The resistance exerted by the water intensifies all efforts, but the movements are supported and cushioned.
In particular, it is possible to strengthen your back in complete safety. Muscles and joints are protected and work optimized!
Aquabike is a complete sporting activity that allows for in-depth muscle strengthening. From the calves to the glutes, including the abdominals and thighs, all the muscles are used!

The aquabike was invented by professionals in the fitness industry to combine the benefits of cycling and those of the draining massage provided by water. This is an effective water sport for working all the muscles in depth, especially those of the lower limbs. The practice of aquabiking allows you to sculpt your body, shape your buttocks, firm your thighs and refine your legs.
Thanks to specific aquabike movements and positions, we burn the fat surrounding the muscles to tone them without making them swell. Results can be seen from the first aquabiking sessions!

Aquabike exercises
There are a large number of aquabike exercises and positions to work different parts of the body:
1 – Warming up : pedal quietly in a seated position to start the session gently.
2 – The dancer: pedal while keeping your buttocks raised above the saddle and your hands in the “low grip” position, on each side of the handlebars. This position is very effective for obtaining firm buttocks! The profiled dancer is a variation which is performed with the buttocks positioned backwards, the arms outstretched and the abdominals well sheathed.
3 – Back : pedal by positioning yourself at the back of the bike and holding on to the saddle. The arms are straight and the back straight. It is also possible to stay upright by doing breaststroke movements to strengthen the work on the abs, in addition to the gluteal muscles.
4 – Forward : pedal with your buttocks at the front of the saddle, holding firmly on the handlebars.
5 – Pedaling / backpedaling: pedal by alternating forward and backward pedaling to exercise the thigh muscles. Backpedaling also allows you to slow down and stretch.
6 – The sprinter : pedal at full speed to accentuate the separation of fat cells and therefore fight against cellulite. But also work on cardio!
7 – Standing: pedal while standing, keeping your shoulders, pelvis and hips fixed, while keeping your arms straight alongside your body.
8 – The elastic : remain seated on the saddle, secure an elastic band between the handlebars and the bottom of the bike, then make small openings with your legs while supporting your abs.
9 – Relaxation : relieve the pressure, catch your breath and stretch to end the session peacefully.
