Is it really possible to exercise during pregnancy?

Every week, your aquabiking session is your little pleasure. You put on your swimsuit and for 45 minutes, you think about yourself and only yourself. If you have just learned that you are pregnant, you are probably wondering if it is possible to continue aquabiking or not ? After all, you love taking care of yourself, but your baby even more.

During the first trimester of pregnancy, the risk of miscarriage is high. This is why many doctors advise against doing sports for the first 3 months. But once the first trimester is over, if your pregnancy is going well, nothing prevents you from doing sports... provided you choose them wisely.

And good news, There are no contraindications for aquabiking. This sport even has many benefits for pregnant women. 

Why is aquabiking safe for pregnant women?

  • Aquabiking is much gentler than cycling or running. In fact, in the water, the movements are less abrupt.

  • Unlike sports like climbing or skating, there is no risk of falling. Your baby will be perfectly safe when you are on your aquabike.

  • Contact sports (boxing, martial arts, football, volleyball) are not recommended during the entire pregnancy, as they can be quite violent. Thanks to aquabiking, pregnant women can practice sports without the risk of hurting themselves.

Whether you are a beginner or not, aquabiking, we still advise you to focus on sessions that are adapted to your condition. Doing sport during pregnancy is good. But we still advise you not to push yourself too hard: listen to your body.

And of course, don't forget to ask your doctor's advice before getting on your aquabike. Once you're completely reassured, you can exercise in complete safety.
