2. Alternate pedaling forward and backward
This exercise allows you to effectively use the thigh muscles. Pedaling backward encourages you to slow down and use the full range of motion in your legs. You can also take advantage of this exercise to stretch while keeping your back straight.
3. Pedal standing
Keeping your feet on the pedals, you continue to pedal with your buttocks in the air and your upper body slightly forward, leaning on the handlebars. In this position, you not only use your thighs, but also your glutes and your back muscles!
4. Approach the handlebars
This is an essential aquabiking movement, easy to perform and very effective for strengthening your thighs. Simply continue pedaling while positioning your buttocks on the front of the saddle and getting as close as possible to the handlebars.
5. Pedal from the back of the bike
Are you sporty and already introduced to aquabiking? You can try this last exercise which takes the intensity up a notch. To take a position, you must keep your feet on the pedals and place your butt behind the saddle. Depending on your level, you can hold the saddle firmly with your hands or perform breaststroke movements with your arms. This exercise is effective for burning calories, but also toning and refining the thighs.
