How does an aquabike class take place?
Aquabiking is a gentle sport that is suitable for all types of athletes: beginner to the most experienced!
Whatever your level, if you have never tried this dynamic activity, you may be wondering how an aquabike lesson actually works?
Don't worry! You won't be left without an answer: the Aqua by team will explain everything to you! When you arrive for the very first time in the studio Aqua by (in Bastille, Charonne or Réaumur), our team will take the time to explain to you how the session will take place, but also to give you valuable advice.
Your first session ofaquabike is in a few days and you are impatient? Don't panic, we will give you some answers to reassure you! After all, at Aqua by, we believe that support is the key to success.
Once you have put on your swimsuit, you can enter the pool to warm up. Listen carefully to your coach's advice, because the warm-up is a very important step.
When the warm-up is complete, you will climb onto aquabike and you will start pedaling. At the very beginning of the session, the intensity is medium. But the more the session progresses, the more intense the pedaling will become. Once the maximum intensity is reached, the music will become softer: this is when the return to calm begins. Finally, before getting out of the pool, the coach will ask you to stretch well in order to finish the session gently while taking care of your joints, muscles and tendons.
For 45 minutes, to the sound of lively music, you will have worked every part of your body! Isn't life beautiful? ☀️
To boost the effectiveness of the session, your coach will ask you to use some accessories provided by Aqua by during the exercises. On the program: 0.5, 1 and 1.5 kg dumbbells as well as foam dumbbells. The latter are only to be used in the pool water. Finally, we will also provide you with 3 elastic bands, very practical for stretching exercises.
