Health tip: Lemon, to add some pep to your daily life

It is yellow, a little acidic, but so powerful. A real Swiss army knife of well-being. And yes, it is lemon. The one that accompanies your fish and marinades may not be present enough in your fruit basket. Its benefits for the body are multiple and still too neglected.

Its virtues: There are many of them and the following list is not exhaustive. Lemon promotes the elimination of waste and toxins by stimulating the liver to produce bile. It is also very useful for fighting all kinds of infections such as bad colds. The vitamin C present in lemon is essential for keeping skin healthy and luminous. It is also highly recommended for athletes who do significant muscular work since it helps to intensify their energy. You can also, after a workout, add a few drops to a glass of sparkling water, which will allow you to compensate for sweating. Lemon also has the particularity of thinning the blood.

Its composition: In lemon, we find many vitamins, including vitamins A, B1, B2 but also and especially vitamin C (50mg per 100g of fruit). There is also potassium, calcium and phosphorus in good quantities as well as iron, magnesium and copper in smaller quantities. All these ingredients allow lemon to be antibiotic, an antibacterial and a very powerful antiseptic.

The best way to start the day is to drink warm lemon water. Fresh breath guaranteed. This hot and natural drink aids digestion and prevents heartburn, cleanses the urinary system, stimulates the immune system, balances blood pH levels... No reason to deprive yourself!

Adopt this routine when you wake up: ½ lemon in a bowl of warm water and your days will never be the same again.

If you don't do it all year round, think about it every time the seasons change or during periods of extreme fatigue.
