Every year the same old story…we promise ourselves to be good, to eat healthily, to drink sensibly and then during the party we let ourselves go.
Every day after a party, the same migraine…we ate too much, drank too much and didn’t sleep enough. These are all poisoned gifts that could be avoided if we followed good practices.
Our last article introduced you to the first practice to follow: the pretox.
This time, we're giving you our homemade recipes to help you get through the day after the holidays without feeling disillusioned.
I RINGED THE 12 COCKS OF MIDNIGHT
In the end-of-year celebrations, there is a party. We saber the champagne, we attack the wine from the starter, we follow it with the hot dish, we nail the meal with a digestif. In this warlike vocabulary, there is a loser, it is our liver. What do we do?
· Let's hydrate! During the festivities and the next day!
· We eat fruits and vegetables. This rehydrates the body and allows us to stock up on nutrients without weighing on the stomach.
· We rest! We regain our strength.
· We don't have another drink. We let the body recover from the night before.
· You'll have understood, let's get into the water! We have the perfect solution: aquabiking. Physical activity helps eliminate toxins.
I WAS SPOILED WITH CAKES
In the end-of-year party, there is hunger. It is the occasion to put on the big plates in the big ones. And that is where the dish hurts: the next day, we do not feel in our plate. How to avoid feeling in bulk for the rest of the day?
· We eat light! No need to add anything, after Christmas, we have enough stock to get through the winter.
· We go for a walk. The digestive walk has a double purpose: it gives us some fresh air and stops us from being tempted by the chocolates placed on the table in plain sight
· We prefer herbal tea to coffee-chocolate. Even if it doesn't sound very festive, we assume it and make a verbena!
OOPS, I FORGOT TO SLEEP
The party was great and we didn't see the time go by...so much so that it's already morning! The day is going to be long... How can we last until evening?
· We start with a good shower first to feel clean and then to restart the machine.
· A coffee to get a little caffeine boost to last part of the day. Don't drink it after 4pm... it would be a shame not to be able to fall asleep in the evening.
· we hydrate ourselves again and again.
· We go out! If we stay at home, lethargy is guaranteed. We try to get some fresh air and see the light of day. We can then go take a little nap to recover from this outing, thirty minutes maximum at the risk of falling into a deep sleep.
· And inevitably we go to bed early, we catch up on lost hours of sleep!
With all these tips you should be a little more in shape to face the painful aftermath of the holidays!
