{"id":1086,"date":"2016-05-02T15:28:40","date_gmt":"2016-05-02T13:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aqua-by.com\/?p=1086"},"modified":"2023-05-19T17:32:25","modified_gmt":"2023-05-19T15:32:25","slug":"how-to-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aqua-by.com\/en\/how-to-progress\/","title":{"rendered":"How to progress?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Motivation, the key to success<\/h2>\n<p>When we start doing sports, we are motivated by a very specific goal, this is a good thing because we need to stimulate our motivation.<\/p>\n<p>However, after weeks and months, we realize that it is not that easy, and that we are not able to achieve our goal as quickly as we hoped\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>From this moment, we often leave ourselves with 2 choices:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Give up<\/li>\n<li>Increase the pace.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The first choice is obviously not the right solution, but the second is not necessarily either.<\/p>\n<p>Going too far beyond these limits will tire your body, and through repetition, will especially increase the risk of injury and fatigue.<\/p>\n<p>The important thing here is really not the destination, but the path that takes us there; adapt, get used to new efforts, and go further. Our body cannot skip steps even if our brain asks it to.<\/p>\n<p>The great figures of sport have followed a specific and adapted training program for several years! It took them years to reach their levels, not weeks or months. So let&#039;s keep these few points in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Never compare yourself to others: we are all different, we all have different physical capacity, endurance, and body shape.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the technique of the exercises before wanting to make them more complex<\/li>\n<li>Simply evaluate yourself, and not fixate on your final goal: running 15 minutes instead of 10, doing 10 push-ups instead of 5, feeling more comfortable during training is the start of progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let&#039;s be patient and above all regular!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La motivation, la cl\u00e9 du succ\u00e8s Lorsque nous commen\u00e7ons \u00e0 faire du sport, nous sommes motiv\u00e9s par un objectif bien pr\u00e9cis, c\u2019est une bonne chose car il faut stimuler notre motivation.
