Why drink water regularly?
Water is essential for the proper functioning of our body, we must drink between 2 and 3 liters per day. (Yes, we know!), but why?
Our body is made up of 70% of water, and we lose (on average) between 2 and 3 liters per day. During physical activity we can lose up to 3 liters per HOUR! You will have understood that we must hydrate, yes, but what is the practical use of this?
PROTECT OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM
During a sports session, our body temperature changes because 80% of our energy produced is transformed into heat, in order to prevent the temperature from rising too much, our body evacuates it through sweating. It is therefore essential to hydrate regularly during exercise, too much dehydration can lead to discomfort.
PROTECT OUR MUSCLES
Hydrating during exercise helps prevent injuries, avoid muscle damage, cramps, or even tendonitis.
MAINTAINING OUR PERFORMANCE
We lose a lot of water during our workout, so not hydrating properly weakens our body and mind, leading to a decrease in our performance.
PROMOTING OUR RECOVERY
Indeed, hydrating before, during and after exercise helps us restore our muscle fibers and eliminate the toxic waste that has accumulated there.
