An underrated sport
1- An ideal activity for sculpting a dream silhouette
When we say “aquabiking”, we think “leg work”. But not only ! If aquabiking helps to shape the calves and effectively fight against cellulite, its benefits are more numerous. Indeed, pedaling in water also helps improve your cardiovascular system by getting your breathing and your heart working. It increases endurance and physical resistance while building muscle in depth.
2- A complete sport
Based on fitness exercises, aquabiking uses many muscles. And above all, not just those of the legs! So you work on your thighs as well as your arms or your abs.
3- Intense and varied sessions
Aquabiking classes follow very specific steps. Warm-ups, exercises punctuated by music, then stretching, aquabiking is an endurance sport! It is necessary to follow the steps so as not to get tired and avoid aches.
It is up to each coach to vary their session. It is therefore by testing different courses that you will find the one whose intensity suits you best!
4 – Slippers are recommended but not obligatory
It is recommended to start the sessions without slippers in order to appreciate all the sensations. However, they improve grip on the pedals and make the exercise more effective. This will put even more strain on your glutes and hamstrings!
5 – Adjustments and placement on the bike are crucial
It is essential to position yourself correctly on the bike. This will allow you to work and build muscle effectively without risk of injury.
Thus, the legs and arms should be slightly tense but flexible. Otherwise, you risk feeling pain in your shoulders, back or hips and possibly getting injured.
